About Me

My name is Jessica Ensing, but people normally call me Jess. My love for photography stems from my middle school years until now - from cheap disposable cameras, film cameras, digital powershots, and finally a Nikon DSLR of my own.  I began with mostly nature shots, and slowly graduated to headshots of friends and photoshoots of couples, children, and larger families.  To be able to feel emotion when observing a photo is my prime goal, and hopeful accomplishment when capturing photos.  


I am currently a missionary in the mountains of Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic - where I serve at Jarabacoa Christian School as the third grade teacher of all English classes.  God has opened up various opportunities to serve Him with my photography as well, and I hope you are able to see the joy and compassion with each photo presented in this blog.
